Meadows II at Shannondell is a 4-story Skilled Nursing Facility with a basement that totals 172,000 SF. It is a state-of-the-art facility housing 190 private patient rooms that include a private bath in each. The building includes four distinct wings. The front wing is comprised of the facility common spaces that include Bistro style dining on each floor, therapy, social spaces, and offices.
The interior design and décor is intended to make the guests feel like they are in a residential home setting and not an institution. The fourth floor is distinctly different from the others differing in colors and finish materials. It is designed primarily for short term recuperation and therapy. The fourth floor has its own ground floor entry and waiting area with an elevator that accesses the fourth floor only. The other spaces on this floor are different also including the dining venue, a living room with vaulted ceilings, and a vast rehabilitation area devoted to this floor.
Mechanicals include a bulk oxygen system with outlets in each patient room, a water source heating and cooling system, and a large generator that provides emergency backup power for lighting, elevators, food service, and power to each of the patient rooms.
