Delicious food and beverages will be available for purchase. There will be several local fly tiers as well as some renowned and well respected tiers from around the region. The Precision Fly Fishing shop will be there and we always have some amazing raffle items available.

Mentored Youth Fishing 3/29/2025
Mentored Youth Trout Opener is Saturday, March 29 from 8 AM–7:30 PM

The Mentored Youth Permit is free

The Voluntary Youth License is $2.97 ($1 cost + $1 issuing agent fee + $0.97 PALS transaction fee).
(Adult Anglers need an annual fishing license and current trout/salmon permit)
Get the youth permit/ buy the youth voluntary license at HuntFishPA or at a licensing agent.
Note: Youth must have their own HuntFish.PA.gov account for their MYTD permit or license.
Voluntary Youth Licenses support youth programs.
While both the permit and the Voluntary Youth License provide the opportunity for youth to fish on Mentored Youth Fishing Days, the Voluntary Youth License provides an extended return for both Pennsylvania’s youth and the Commission, the Commission encourages anglers to purchase either a Voluntary Youth License or a Voluntary Youth License Voucher—for the future of fishing!

PA Trout Opener w/ MCTU 4/5/2025
Please visit us at the MA&PA Railroad location at Muddy Creek Forks or by the railroad tracks at High Rock for some good grub and hot Muddy Creek Flies! We also will have hot coffee available and lots of fish stories! If you are not already a member of our chapter please find us at one of these two locations for a Trout Unlimited Membership or if you’d like to support our chapter via a donation to our Co-Op Trout Nursery.

Topic: Muddy Creek wants to thank our landowners for their continued support. This event is for anybody, but is focused on our landowners in the Muddy Creek watershed who allow stream access and wish to participate in stream improvement projects. We will have some information setup from the folks at York County Farm & Natural Lands Trust. We likely will have native plants for your property supplied by Calyx Native Nursery as well as the MCTU Board of Directors that you can ask questions and seek information about how to get more involved with our chapter. We hope to see you there!
